This beautiful woman was getting her hair colored blond. Being somewhat low maintenance and never having colored my hair, I was enjoying her process and was looking forward to the results.
Color your life with change and if this is not always possible, enjoy the artistic difference of others. This is my flashback of good for today. Suzy Shepard

My hair cut went well and I looked down to see more white hairs than dark brown. The color is changing with age. My four year old grand daughter shouted, “Grandma, you have highlights!” A complete stranger came up to me and asked, “Who does your highlights?” In both cases, I had to explain that God had made the changes. The aging process has been quite fascinating. I never know what to expect when I get up in the morning — except good.
Appreciate, enjoy, and embrace the aging process — including the wrinkles that you have earned through hard work and endurance. You are beautiful today. This is my flashback of good for today. Suzy Shepard

Shocked and aghast, the adults looked on as this little fellow climbed in the verboten turquoise art bowl display and found his bliss.

My friend turned eighty years old and she was crowned by friends and family. The flashing blue starred headdress singled her out as the monarch of the moment and represented her outstanding achievements as wife, mother, advocate, and friend.

I found myself talking to Oprah as if she were live in the living room.
You can control the influences people have on you and only let that which is good enter consciousness and exit as honorable thoughts and deeds. Having a bad childhood, bad day, or bad experience need not eclipse and negate the good impact of all the wonderful gifts you’ve been given since the day you were born. When I was growing up, pride was considered abhorrent. However, there is another paradigm for pride — the kind represented in this school trophy case — the embracing of dignity, honor, and self respect. This pride is the opposite of shame.
Show your pride by playing out, demonstrating, performing, making known, honoring, respecting, taking satisfaction in, and/or being conscious of the best of who you are. This is my flashback of good for today. Suzy Shepard

These sweet young Irish dancers are carrying on a centuries old tradition — from the white socks to the full curly hair wigs. Their short colorful Celtic costumes show the emblems of a beautiful nature and camaraderie witnessed also in their soaring spirits and group precision on stage.
Carry on the best of your heritage and you will find it carrying you to a natural high, to bliss, to rapture. This is my flashback of good for today. Suzy Shepard
