Bale out

April 3rd, 2009

A small gray pick up truck holding a bale of hay weighing more than a ton.How was this Colorado rancher going to get this great big ton of hay out of his little pick up truck?  Simple.  Chain the hay to a fence post and drive away.  A simple bale out!

The bail out for heavy loads or problems in your life may be to do something very good and simple — by yourself!  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

Your true colors

April 2nd, 2009

The cloudless, blue Colorado sky after a snow storm. After the clouds passed, the Colorado sky was a bright blue and revealed what was always there during the storm.

Even during turmoil, disappointments, and discouragement, the true color of your human nature is a spectrum of extraordinarily and beautiful good.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

Carried

April 1st, 2009

A Red Cross tank being carried by a blue cab truck.I had no idea where this Red Cross tank had been or where it was going.   Although disabled, the tank was getting to its destination.

You are that person who can get to where you need to go — regardless of your financial situation, physical abilities, or present environment.  If you can’t make it alone, you will be carried to fulfill your good purpose.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

No need to look back

March 31st, 2009

Looking back in my rear view mirror and seeing nothing but light reflected. This is the actual view I had in my rear view mirror.  The view was especially disconcerting because I was in a blizzard and trying to get safely off the highway.  MIssion accomplished — with no rear mirror view!

No matter what your history, you can still move forward in safety and grace.  Sometimes, you can’t and don’t need to look back in order to move forward.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

Wear your heart

March 30th, 2009

A young woman wearing a white hoodie decorated with dark gray hearts. Many years ago, a friend came up to me and said I was wearing my heart on my sleeve.  Busted!  I was.  My mother had just died and I cried at inopportune times.  My emotions were “out there” and obvious.  This week, I simply smiled when walking past this sweet young woman.  She was wearing her heart on her sleeve — literally!

The world might say you are too “emotional”.  However, there are times when emoting is a good thing.  If this is that time for you, wear your heart on your sleeve in the presence of good, healing, empathic, loving, and compassionate people and you will feel their healing influence.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

After the rain

March 29th, 2009

Droplets hanging from a tree and deposited by a recent storm.Look carefully at the raindrops left after a storm.  The tree was covered with them.  They reflected everything around them.  Within one, I could see the whole garden.

After the last tear drop falls and the storm is over, look around and see a world that can offer you a great life.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard

At the mercy of whim

March 28th, 2009

A plethora of plastic blown onto an unleafed bush.Gusts of wind make their eery deposits.  This is a plethora of  plastic hanging on unleafed bush branches.

What you cherish most must not be at the mercy of whim.  Keep those precious thoughts protected from outside fury.  This is my flashback of good for today.  Suzy Shepard
