This was my first drive in California. Friends told me this was “normal” traffic. My body became tense. I wanted to go home and enjoy more rural, less traveled roads. Knowing this was the only route to my destination, I settled down, changed my attitude, took pictures, and enjoyed the chaos.
The way may include moments of stop. Find the intrinsic worth of such moments and then go with gusto. This is my flashback of good for today. Suzy Shepard
My spirit yearns for rest, so I take refuge. One place is Eagle River, Vail Valley, Colorado. I listen to the fierce rumbling and power of the swift, forceful, falling water and feel renewed.

The brine motes made pulling over a disaster. Beyond the motes was 159 square miles of rolling Utah salt desert. I decided to stay on the nice, straight highway.

Today this child went out and made her first purchase with earned money from picking up plums in the backyard. She was delighted and didn’t want a loan or help.
